📖 Learn

(x, y)

Along the corridor, then up the stairs. Negative means left or down.

Translate

Slide every point the same amount: 3 right adds 3 to x.

Reflect

In the y-axis, x changes sign. In the x-axis, y changes sign.

Worked example

Translate (2, −1) by 3 left and 4 up

  1. 1x: 2 − 3 = −1
  2. 2y: −1 + 4 = 3
  3. 3(−1, 3) ✅

🧪 Play with it: Line & grid

y = 1x + 0

Tap the grid to see a point's coordinates.
