📖 Learn

Read ratios

3 : 2 means for every 3 of the first, there are 2 of the second.

Sharing

Add the parts, find one part, then multiply.

Scaling

A recipe for 4 needs doubling for 8 people.

Worked example

Share £30 in the ratio 2 : 3

  1. 1Total parts = 5
  2. 2One part = 30 ÷ 5 = £6
  3. 32 × 6 = £12 and 3 × 6 = £18 ✅

🧪 Play with it: Sharing sweets
