📖 Learn
(x, y)
x first (across), y second (up). 'Along the corridor, up the stairs.'
Midpoint
Add the x's and halve, add the y's and halve.
Function machine
Input → do the operations → output. Go backwards with inverse operations.
Worked example
Midpoint of (2, 4) and (8, 10)
- 1x: (2 + 8) ÷ 2 = 5
- 2y: (4 + 10) ÷ 2 = 7
- 3Midpoint = (5, 7) ✅
🧪 Play with it: Line & grid
y = 1x + 0
Tap the grid to see a point's coordinates.
